Jack Chrisman's blown 427 powered '64 Comet has been called by some the first funny car. I built this model of that car a few years ago...... Body is a resin piece from "The Good Stuff", paint is Duplicolor, decals are from "Perry's". The chassis and suspension from from a Monogram T-bolt kit were modified to fit the slightly narrower Comet body Engine is simply a mish-mash of T-bolt and Revell Parts Pack 427 ford. As always, your questions , comments and concerns are welcomed! .

Nice to Chrismans little monster built!!!
I have finally gathered all of the parts for building this one myself (I even went as far as to buy AMT's "Silhouette" Showcar to get the correct engine front cover with axle for the distributor - Just to find out that "The Parts Box" casts it in resin...)
While searching for reference material, I was unable to find any information about the color of the engine block - what did you use for yours?
