Since it's been awhile since I've finished anything I'll dig back into my older finished projects so I feel like I'm contributing This is Revells '65 chevy Chevelle Z-16 kit, converted to a Malibu and customized. Used custom body parts from the AMT 65 el camino and station wagon kits. Rep+Min "opened up" grille made adding a parts box vette grille easier. I think the lakes pipes and hubcaps are from the revell '59 impala custom. Taillight bezels are headlights from the trumpeter bonne inset into a scratchbuilt panel made from a CD case and painted from the backside. Engine is from the Trumpeter '63 Nova with a kitbashed aircleaner. With the exception of wires it is box stock. Kitbashed and scratchbuilt single exhaust. Lowered kit suspensions. Removed the tops of the fenderwells for clearance. Body colors are Tamiya I think(can't remember ). This was a lot of fun. I'm planning something similar with the recent re-issue, but converting it into a convertible. Thanks for looking, follow the link for more pics. public.fotki.com/crstan/finished_models_by_me/customs/65-malibu-kustom/

Very nice Blvd. Kruizer! Great color scheme throughout Just wondering... how do you mask off your chassis? I do a lot in the same style.... Body color frame rails... I usually paint the body color and tape off the frame to shoot the pan color. My friends all think I'm nuts with the amount of masking I do on any given project!

Lol, this is not scientific, but it works for me.: [glow=red,2,300] No caffine for about 12 hours, a small brush, and a little prayer.[/glow] I've had no luck with masking in the past, so i just bite my lip and hope for the best. Sorry I can't help you more

I've always liked that Craig ! It's neat to see a car thats not usually done as a Kustom, done so well. I love the Color combo and the beautiful detailing ! It's a real unique piece.

Thanks to everyone for their support. Over the last few years I've really become a big fan of mid 60's GM design. Clean lines, minimal ornimentation and just before the muscle car craze took over. I've got more mid60's GM projects planned, including a 65 Malibu convertible and a 66 olds and 65 impala. Stay tuned
