*this is to see what it is like when votes are hidden until after your vote is cast* "Results will be shown after voting"

Perfect. With the current system it's difficult to vote without peeking at the previous voting. This is much better.

I think this is an excellent idea. I will openly admit to being influenced once or twice by being able to see the votes before I cast my own.

Glad to see positive response so far. Dennis that is the reason I want to change it from now on. I hope everyone votes for the one they like the most, that touches their own heart..(sounds dumb I know) without the influence of seeing the current votes. It might also challenge us to look closer at each build to appreciate them even more. FYI , this is something I wanted to do a long time ago...but at the time, there was some confusion I think and some members expressed they didn't like the idea....but guess what? Those members are rarely here anymore.

i like this system Boss !!!!!...i've never let votes influence me, because i vote on the model's merits, and the brilliance of the ideas used.

No offense intended...but I don't care what ya vote for lol In fact, I rather not discuss that part....just want to make sure everyone votes for the model that REALLY makes it for them. Thanks for the replies guys!

Either way is good with me...I usually zip past the results straight to the builds in order to avoid contamination that being said, it would probably be easier if the subconscious temptation was invisible. Sooo...I guess I give it a thumbs up!

I'll actually go the other way. If the one I like best is way out in front i'll give my vote to someone with zero just so they don't finish with no-one voting for them - I know what that's like.
And while we are on the topic of voting - i'm phrasing this very carefully so as not to upset or accuse - it sometimes strikes me as odd that in the early stages one model can have such a massive lead already. Say it might have 55 votes when all the rest have only 0, 1 or 2 each. And it's not neccesarilly that much better a model.
That's just democracy I guess.

odds are 55 people have voted so far and they all liked it the most ? lol I hear ya though. I have finished with no votes.....doesn't bother me. I have entered stuff just to participate and know it won't win. I don't care either way...it's for fun and I have been wrong in my votes many times.....because I chose what I liked the most....not what was in the lead.

while I have not been very active on the boards building, I still drop by to cast my votes! ( thanks for the e-mails bob ;D;)
Usually I blow by the results to get a good look at the builds. If I chose something that will obviously win...I look for something else that stands out to me.
Other times I'm a little surprised that the one with all the votes is what it is... Maybe its just my voting style, I vote tradition over quality.
+1 more for hidden votes.
