Yeah, love the front end treatment on this car, and of course the interior and engine bay complement the look. Dig those little hose clamps! I'll be looking forward to the completed shots

Got the back bumper back from LMKCo today.
It's attached and I just need to find a suitable licence plate before taking the pics.
Should have the pics up real soon.
Thanks again on all the kind comments and suggestions on the car.

Ok Steve, please come clean! As you well know by the comments I've made during this build that I'm very fond of it. You made the chop (gorgeous) look easy. I've studied the chop pictures a lot, 'cause it looks so good. But I'm wondering if you cut the windshield header away from the top. It looks that way on my phone. Did you do any reworking to the lower rear window trim? Got any pictures of what you did to locate the windshield side posts? You may have thought I was gonna chop my 61 Chrysler using your method huh. Truth is I think I'd like to! Soooooo, any help you can give will be much appreciated. Thanks, Gary

Thanks, Gary Honestly, I just kinda make it up as I go along. I didn't cut the windshield trim away from the roof. It's raised on the kit so I scribed it a bit like you'd do to deepen a door line and sanded away the raised area. That way I still had a separation line at the trim after sanding. I did make another cut a couple mm back from the trim but not all the way through. I later realized I didn't need a cut there and filled it back in. The windshield pillars were simply cut away at the bottom. Then I notched the area where I cut them off so they'd slot into the notch. Makes a stronger joint. The cut on the roof are pretty simple. Just cut the rear window area away so it leans forward a bit when reattached. The chop was small ,, maybe about 2 inches in scale so it didn't effect the bottom of the window frame much. IIRC, the front edge of the window frame only sank down into the body about the thickness of the body. I just had to do a small bit of filling, sanded it all flush with the surrounding "sheetmetal" and added new trim from 1/2 round strip. I think if I ever do another like this, I'll just make a vertical cut down beside each C pillar and just slightly bend the top of the frame forward. It's also quite possible I sanded the underside of the window frame where it meets the deck. Just some more bevel so the bottom of the glass would fit right up to the trim and not be held down below it. I think that covers it. Any more questions, please ask.
