May make new interior panels. This is just a mock up. Is it TRAKable?

I don't see anything TRaK about that one. Has a late 60 early 70's vibe to me. Cool build though. I like the blue lines. Suit on.

I guess the vote is fifty-fifty. I'll just finish it as planned and see what everyone thinks. From all of my research it should have a mid sixties vibe when finished.

Different headers would help a lot, something like block huggers, but those velocity stacks are the real culprit that kick it out of the TRaK able realm.

This motor was started for another project and I swapped it into the 32 to replace the small block chevy. The motor issues are taken care of and I removed the coilovers and air bags. I started making a transvers leaf setup and need to make a pair of shocks. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

How is it not trak? The cutoff is '69. lol. So the stacks were too tall. Big whoop...they weren't that out of character for late in the game. Or are we just moving the cutoff back to late 50's early 60's style and not telling people? Joke is on me, I guess. Lighten up guys...this is one of those things that drives folks off.

My local hobby shop has resin Kinmont disc brakes and Buick drums. I need to make a choice or I could just get them both and pic what to use on this project when I get them home. The four wheel modern disc brakes are not going to work.

I think finned Buick drums always look great on fenderless cars!

Block Huggers didn't appear unti the late 1970s and became mainstream during the eighties 'Street Rod' generation.
The original headers lok way more period perfect to me and that colour is definitely more sixties than later.

My personal take is this was trakable to begin with, given the agreed upon cut off date, & the rods being built in the mid-late 60s. I do think the headers you changed to fit the overall vibe a bit more however, but I'd keep that bad ass Hilborn FI unit on it.

Why not build it as YOU want to? A novel idea? Rather than trusting everyone else to "know" what WAS 60's or not , as they probably weren't even around in the 60's to KNOW? Just a thought...(and to cause some trouble) hehe Where has Bob been anyway? Getcher ass BACK here Bob!

Just a thought...(and to cause some trouble) hehe Where has Bob been anyway? Getcher ass BACK here Bob! I was around in the 60s, as I was born in 1961. More importantly, besides reading car mags since I was around 5-6 years old, in the 70s an older friend of mine gave me around 200+ issues of Hot Rod, R&C & some other rodding mags from the 60s, starting with issues from 1963, so I learned a lot then. I no longer have those mags, (too many moves & such), but I read them for nearly 20 years, & these days we all have more resources to draw from to ensure correctness in this area. I do agree on building as he wants to, but he did ask if it was trakable or not here, so it's natural that people who know try to help him out.
