Interior looks nice John! I want to do something similar to my 34 sedan. Don't know if I would have the patience or skill to accomplish what you have.

Great idea for the upholstery, I need to try that. Between this and Plowboy's, I'm getting the itch to build one again.

The patience and good eye required to keep the pattern consistent is impressive. I want to give it a shot, but I'd have to practice on a flat card first, just to try and keep the blobs equally sized and spaced.

That's a gorgeous color combo! I'm glad to see some brown/bronze cars happening. The scallop pattern reminds me of that sweet '40 coupe you did a while back! So is that without any polishing?? SO smooth!

SO smooth! Thanks, Chris! Nope, no polishing yet. I'll rub it out in a few days. Thanks for remembering the coupe – this is meant to be a companion car to that one.

I dig it! Not to hijack your thread; but here are two '62 Vettes I built over 10 years ago in similar colors......the 'root beer' Vette was an original issue with the opening trunk. I pulled an all-nighter laying out the bare metal foil and cutting it out by hand on the gold Vette for my first panel line paint job......and with rattle cans for that matter. It actually came out quite well; but I later regretted the way I laid out some of the lines. I haven't tried it again since. Thanks, Ed! Nice work on those old 'Vettes! Very precise cutting on the gold one. Actually the camel metallic on my '40 is more of a copper color than root beer brown (not sure why they called it "Camel"!)

Man, I love this thing! its soooo bitchin!
The scallops are simple and I love the way the hood ties into the body. really ties it together.
P.S. i hate that your 'pre polish' paint looks better than most of my finished cars...
