This is looking good! Nice, subtle mods.
Is it possible to modify the headlights to take separate, clear lenses? AMT has made this upgrade with their recreation of this kit and it makes an immense difference.

AMT has made this upgrade with their recreation of this kit and it makes an immense difference. Thanks Dennis! Oh well, the bumpers are already at the plater's, so the headlights will stay as-is, and receive the customary wash of Tamiya Pearl White. So it'll definitely look like an original issue of the kit.

John - Very Nice, High-Quality Work! What's not to like on this one, ancient kit, ancient construction, all paired with new building and construction methods and ideas that combine for Winner - Winner - Chicken Dinner! LoL! Can't wait to see this one in color(s).
Seriously, if you hadn't already caught my vibe, I really like this, really love the '57 thru '60 F100's. Square, Boxy, Gangly looking creatures, in stock form, if someone wanted to update or customize then they really have to think beyond its boxy exterior! It's all about what would Joe Six-Pack do back in the 60's to make his F100 stand out in the crowd. You got it with this one.

I'm attempting to keep the rest of the build simple, no engine wiring or plumbing other than a radiator hose. And no scratch interior stuff other than a shift lever. Just focusing on bodywork and paint on this one!

I remember seeing this '58 in the pages of Rod & Custom a couple decades ago.... 58 Custom Cab by B Riel, on Flickr I liked the color combo. Maybe you do as well?
