This looks good to me. I think that your top chop is just right. Keep up the good work!

Looks great so far! The slightly hood pancake is subtle but makes a real difference to the "smoothness" of the truck. Love those canted fenders!

George was the mouth; his brother Sam did all of the body work; he passed from cancer !

Looks great so far. One of the things I think was done on the custom was to chop the roof above the drip rail so that it didn't have so much "hat room". I saw this done on an episode of Bitch'n Rides and it really made a difference. Don't know how hard it would be on yours nor if you would even like the look.

Certain customs it looks good on, it I was to do it, I would make the panel from a Revell 32 five window. I saw the show and it did look good. My issue on the F100 is the roof contour blends with all the other parts, hood, fenders etc. I do appreciate the suggestion and probably will use it on another F100.
Interesting side note, Otto the builder was only 19 year old and the final roof chop was actually redone with 5 inches added to raise it to the height in the photos.
I meet Barris a number of years ago at the GNRS, I talked with him for close to 40 minutes . . . I though he was an AZZ. Mr Barris took credit for a ton of builds and custom paint that he only photographed for I think R&C

Think of Barris as the PT Barnum of customs. Without his promotions much of what his people created wouldn't have been. He should have given credit to the creators rather than infer if not claim it was his work. I've heard he was a real jerk as well. Ed Roth also took credit for stuff that others built. Albeit unpleasant it's what front men do.

Roth bought Tweedy Pie from Bob Johnson in 1962 and in Andy Southelands book on Hot Rods of the 50's. Roth states that a side from Chrome Reverse Wheels with Baby Moons, the dual headlights, changing the interior from Lavender to White with a white Falcon wheel instead of the Black 56 Ford Fairlane wheel, aside from Roths changes, the T is exactly as Bob Johnson built it, including the rear nerf bar Bob made. The Lil' Jewel when Roth had it in 1957 was Red enamel with Roth doing the scallops. He sold the car in I think late 1958 to pay for the chrome on The Excalibur / Outlaw. Lee Rhodes painted it the green and up dated the interior for the Lil Jewel that everybody remembers. Hosted on FotkiFrom Andy Southerland's book mentioned above. Got a lot done one the bed the last two days. Filled the Vette tail light openings with plastic, took the kit rolled rear pan and flipped it so the area parallel to the ground was vertical and matches the Mountain Pearls. It is thinner that way and does not go below the rear fenders. Made oval tail light pods and fitted them into the corners angled to be close to the headlight pods. Made a recessed license plate mount. Made up new bed corners to replace the kit ones and fit closer to the light pods. I also made matching corners to bring the rolled pan out ever with the bed. I'm going to widen the tailgate to bring it almost even with the out side of the bed sides and fit a full width piano hinge to get rid of the stock hinge pockets.
I think for the engine it will be the twin Judson Super charged Old F-85 engine from the new AMT reissue. Paul
