Taillight lens are going to be one of the two finalists...Siamesed 1959 Caddy lens (similar to 56 Chevy len idea of yours bit a bigger statement) or a flat oval lens with blue dots and chrome bezels. Maybe a 3 bar grill between pods to mimic the front. I just made up the exhaust, got my Kesley Hayes wire wheels and are contemplating a bone stock 354 Hemi and 2 speed Power-Flite trans. I really agonize on wheel choices as I feel that can make or break a custom. Paul

Paul; i like the sound of the flat lenses, with blue dots; i also like your ideas; they sound really sharp; go for it ! the 354 sounds like the perfect choice !

Laid out the first parts of the exhaust from .100" solid rod. They are just kind of held on place by elves so I can see how they look. The pipes from the engine will be just below the running boards. Looking at the photo from the rear, I may open up the top of the rear glass area 2mm to bring it up closer the the tops of the door glass opening. Course I also saw a build with very nice rear fender skirts on the Chevy fenders, really changes the look. Since my Kesley Hayes wire wheels from the Moebius Chrysler 300 will not fit on the F100 with out major fabrication of the wheel backs and axles, I've ordered MCG Caddie Sombrero caps. I think it looks better without the skirts, but then I rarely am a fan. The pipes look great.

Paul; i won't trash your ideas, but i must share my thoughts; i looked at the side shot of the Ford, that's in the book, and to me, there isn't much custom work, and the skirts make the Ford look like an army tank, it also seems that the Ford is out of balance with them on.i also think that the exhaust pipes should be under the truck, and used as straight pipes !

I love the bed side pipes. Are the functional pipes under the truck going to be visible, like side pipes? If so I wouldn't run both.
I'm not a big fan of skirts, so I vote no.
Your idea to open the rear window a bit more sounds great

Paul, go for it! We don't see enough skirts aronud here. I remember a couple of Nor-Cal pick-ups with skirts from the early 60s. Not common, but certainly traditional!

The pipes on the bed side were a common touch then and yes they were functional. I'll post the pic of a few. The skirt issue, I'm going to make will not a permanently attached so I can see if the look is what I want.

The look of the skirts on it makes it need to be in a Cheech and Chong movie. . .gone to the trash.

Got the chassis 75% done, need to paint a few items and re attach the exhaust hanger on one side. I used what I feel is the best detailed factory stock 392 hemi from the Moebius 1955 Chrysler 300. Made engine mounts and trans cross member for the 1955 Chrysler Power Flight 2 speed automatic. Only engine change was replacing the Generator Power steering pump with a parts box one. Rocker covers, air clear assembly, generator, oil filter can and trans dip stick were given the Molotow treatment. Took the instrument panel from the Chrysler and fitted into the F100 dash along with the brake pedal, which need to be trimmed on the right side. I'll also use the Chrysler dash mounted shifter lever. Test fitted the Chrysler seat, not sure about it yet. Stuck the wheels and tires on it and hung all the body assemblies on. I am pleased so far considering I limited it to what was available and trending in 1957 - 1958. Paul

Looks great. Sure is a lot of room in the engine bay.

Looks great. Sure is a lot of room in the engine bay. Sure is! I expected it to be a much tighter fit than it is. Paul
