I thought we had a thread but I can't find it.
This thread is for sharing photos, history and stories of our hobby. Let's share and preserve!
To be a survivor, your model should still fit TRaK guidelines per the pre-1970 rule. Your model year of vehicle should be 1969 or older, nothing newer. This isn't the place to start sharing your yard sale find that was built in 1980 of a 1965 Impala. The builds must be actual surviving built up models that were built roughly 1950's through the 1960's. Please don't post models that you think will pass, many of us are smart enough to pick out details that weren't around back then LOL
This isn't like Dave Darby's group on Facebook, so please don't be confused....we aren't going to copy his awesome page and have certain days of the week for certain themes etc... just post the old built ups you have here.
If the model isn't complete but it's been built that's ok. If it's been restored, then please state what's been done to it. Complete restorations are NOT survivors.
Just like we have always done here... Traditional Rod and Kustom models only. Let's see some old vintage stuff! (no unbuilt kits)
****Please post individual photos of each model, no showcase shots!****

This 39-40 Ford mild kustom came from a collection that was built in the mid to late 60s. I don't know who built it, the seller has been selling a bunch of this guys stuff off.

Aurora '34 Ford Scream Puff built by Chad Stacks family. His family, he and his father I think his grandfather all built models and they put them away in cut down kit boxes. They were stored like this for decades never seeing light again.

SMP '58 Buick Roadmaster, I don't know who built this one. It's super clean though.

maybe it's still here but I couldn't find it I swear it used to be a pinned post at the top. I'll do some digging. I think if it got unpinned somehow it would fall in the timeline to the date of the last post, so it could be back several pages?

Here are the only two survivor-type threads that I could find since 2017:
"SEPTEMBER 2022 A.R.E. IS 'YOUR FAVORITE BUILDS' "
and
"Throwback Thursday" started Aug. 8, 2017

We're already off to a great start! Here's my all-time favorite survivor, an eBay find I carefully disassembled and rebuilt... Sam's Pickup!
