This has really influenced My 53 build, I am trying something similar to the ridge you added, reminds me of buick trim. Thank all of you guys ! ;D I was not inspired by Buick side trim for the side character line, it's just my interpretation of the one on the most beautifull bel air ever ( for me ): Doug thompson build '51... Zed, You just answered a LOT of questions for a LOT of folks! Thank you fer sharin'! Now I got some MORE ideas fer my Fleetline. Love that side accent that you did! Simple, but VERY sexy-stylish! Glad if i can help !

Ha! Two COMPLETELY different cars. But they were chopped different ways...the first was done like Zed's with the section through the decklid. The second with the whole decklid being dropped between the fenders. I'm friends with both the guys who chopped both cars. As a matter of fact, I believe I took those pictures of the Gas Monkey fleetline. The guy who chopped it, Mark Cadena, is in my club. Brian Bass is chopped the other fleetline. They both have shops right next door to one another, and untill recently, shared the same shop. Both chops work well and yield different looks.
