I have some of the R&D Unique complete chassises. There are discbrakes? I have some euros that will be given some untraditional(compared to most building these modelcars) treatment, beeing inspired from american customs. Mildly customized '64 Ford 17M, '69 Saab 96 and '56 Alfa. Also wonder about traditional european hillclimbers. In the european retrocarculture, the hillclimbers seem to have a strong influence on how people build theire retro euros.

What about the RodChassies? sorry, do you have photo ? I am not familiar with those. basically chassis and suspension is not a big deal here though. "if we can't see it, it doesn't matter"

Would this wheel/tire combo be trakable? The tires are low profile and the rim diameter is larger (not sure of the exact size) but the rim is old school and the car is totally trakable. Just want to make sure before I post any pics of the car. Look for this kool car in the latest KAHRM issue! ;D Available now!

Myself, I can't see disc brakes as a problem - after all, they were available on production cars before 1969 and sometimes even used on hot rods - though this is not my site. There has been a few customized and/or rodded eurocars here too... As long as the style and parts are right - I can't see a problem there either. But after all it's up to Bob to decide...

I don't know what he means by chassis that he has, but I doubt that would be a problem either. the focus is the "appearance" more than the details under the hood or chassis.

Busy with so many things for the moment!! I'll picture the whitemetal chassi when I get some more controll on all things happening. I understood it so that the retro hillclimbers was not TRakable. A custom with pre '70 parts is a custom whatever car it is. When it comes to roded euros, there was several euros on the dragstrips all over the US. Isetta rail, Cortina, Dauphine, Beetle, Triumph, Austin Healey gassers, at least. I've understood it so that it is the US inspired traditional path that here is the clue. Back in the '60s, and '70s it was the US way doing things, that also is the euro tradition as well. Back then it was mostly Britain, and Scandinavia that had some kind of modified car culture. First in the '70s this hobby began raising in Norway, a decade afther Sweden. A bit unsure about Finland, but I belive they also was early developing a modified automotive culture, but maybe with a stronger national inspiration. Those magazines I read back in the '70s had mostly american stuff, some british, and some swedish. When it came to other countries, it was usually stock restoration that was the strongpoint.

'60 Comet! The car will have to be taken apart, because I'm going to replace windows. It still misses some foiltrim. Chassis is from Revell '64 Thunderbolt. Engine from Revells '32 Highboy(carburated 302). Guess changing some few details on the engine will make it TRaKable, so that is not a problem. Guess it is the chassis, and overall apparence I ask about here. Hosted on Fotki

that does look real nice! hard to say anything about the "appearance' since I don't see many of these cars. I would say it looks fine, but a lower stance would be even better, otherwise it looks a bit "street machine" looking forward to what ya do with it.

How about the Revell Snaptight 34 Ford? Thinking the wheels are not old enough. Bout the only thing I've done that would fit here but the wheels might not...
