I have no problem with ladder bars or coil overs. Many of the models built here came with that stuff in them, so I don't hold it against the build. Though...many other things can be changed out easily such as wheels for example.

Well, ya this build is getting different wheels, the wheels/tires from the '29 PU to be specific and with "drum brakes" from the AMT '62 Pontiac. Oh, another issue might be that C4 auto that comes in the kit. I have an MCG Muncie, I should look at how easy it would be to fit that in. I'm also changing the firewall with an RnD Unique resin stocker. That smoothie firewall is ugly.

Hopefully that sums it up.

Yesterday at the Stockton show, robtrat was telling me when he looks at the models at any - he is always asking himself "Now is THAT one TRAK-able?"? It was good for a laugh as many are not - just imitations! I think TRAK has motivated most of us to build what we really like, and is responsible for providing us with a lot more focus in our building.

Yeah, like koolkat sez it's a kinda scale to measure stuff by, parts, kits, builds etc. It always there "is that trak-able" As my late mother the school teacher would say "it is an adjective" TRAK not only gives us a forum to share the stuff we love with like minds, But a way to describe that stuff too, dig?

Would this wheel/tire combo be trakable? The tires are low profile and the rim diameter is larger (not sure of the exact size) but the rim is old school and the car is totally trakable. Just want to make sure before I post any pics of the car.

It's almost borderline, but sorry, the tire is simply too low profile to slide by... The problem is that many of the vintage wheel designs (both in 1:1 and in scale) are currently available as large-diameter rims, and allowing these would mean that we would have to allow the others as well, which would water out the traditional aspect of the forum...
