Thanx for the compliments Guys. I have the roof filled and shot a coat of primer on things just ta see how they're lookin'. Still gotta get rid of the afterburners and the front fender trim really needs ta go, too. I think I'm gonna try getting the window frames done tonight... I have a feeling the front fenders are gonna be a bear ta get the trim off without losin' the two thin ribs on the fender tops. Gonna take some heavy duty Dremel work and lots of finish work with a file.

This thing is coming together great! The lines are so right and the stance is dead on. Have you picked out paint yet?

Looking killer John. You made the right choice to replace the fender trim. this one is shaping up quick. Can you finish by March 2?

Honestly, Craig, I think it will be finished by then. All it really needs is ta have things smoothed out and the paint laid on. Besides, I gotta get goin' on that '62 Merc if I wanna have it finished by May Day. As for colors, I'm thinkin' candy red with pearl white top and inserts. I've seen one done in yellow and green that just looks killer but I don't think the colors are right for an early '60s custom. All I gotta do is keep from gettin' sidetracked. I spent way too much time, this mornin' looking at my '59 Buick and tryin' ta figure where ta stretch a '60 Impala chassis ta fit under it.

Can you finish by March 2? ooooohh... That sounded like a challenge! It looked pretty do-able, so that's why I said it. . I just wanna see it done

Ahhh, My favorite color: PRIMER ;D
The poncho looks really great, but seeing it in one uniform color made me realize one thing - And this is my personal view, not criticism in any way - I think I would section the front vertically to remove about 2-2.5 millimeters, to bring the "Eyebrows" and grille opening further backwards, thus making the rear tip of the front bumper meet the wheelarch (Is that spelled correctly?). I think it would visually balance out the relatively short trunk/decklid, which looks slightly shorter than the front, due to the chop.
Anyway, I think you're doing one hell of a job on this beautiful build!!!
