WOW, I'm really having a hard time deciding which ones look best, but as for the front grille, I'm leaning towards the Olds. If you want more options, I can highly recommend hunting down the Aurora Custom Grilles parts pack on Ebay...

My votes are for the Olds front grill and the grill you cut out with your jewelers saw. These would make oustanding complements to the great look you're developing. ;D

I agree with Bernard on the Olds combination... because they're a close match. Also, John hit it on the head about rounding under the lower edge of the rear pan... it looks too "sharp" the way it is.

Just my2c but the first front 60 Olds grille works better for me the Merc one looks a bit heavy.
Either one for the rear, both suit it well. You do very nice clean work, my cuts and filler work are always all over the place!

Merc for sure. But you cut up a very rare '60 Mercury rear bumper... and that is unforgiveable! What about the stock kit rear panel? That matches the front grill you are using. But I agree with John in that the smoothed pans are pretty bare. Maybe a slight recess for a license plate will break up the expanse?

Thanks all! I appreciate your great suggestions. I decided on the 60 Merc grill for the rear-that's definate, Still undecided on the front. The chrome was shot on the Olds piece so I've got that in the strip tank, I'll have to Alclad it and go from there. I horizontally sanded the 60 Merc front grill to narrow it up a little and fit better- Stll looks a little too big. Just F'ing around here, dropped these teeth in....Don't think I like it, at least not on this car! I found this cool center console. Have no idea what kit it's from (AMT 65 Impala 'vert?). It'll take a little massaging be I think I can get it in there. Messing around with some dash board ideas. I want this interior to have a Jetson's vibe. Not sure if any of these fit the bill but it's a start- Stock 62 Ford 64 Mercury 63 Ford 60's Lincoln 65 Riviera As always comments welcome. You guys come up some good ideas! ;D

a dash idea... Didn't the '59 El Camino have a floating guage pod dash? You can't get more Jetson-esque than that!

Maybe a slight recess for a license plate will break up the expanse? Rare? Isn't that a way to cook steaks and burgers? I agree the rear pan does look a little like a boat transom. I'm thinking about working in some exhaust cut outs and possibly a plate recess. If I used the stock 62 trim then it wouldn't be custom!

I know I have a few in the parts yard. Then I could add the custom seats from the 56 Ford kit...George would feel right at home.

Freakin' cool center console!!!
If you're looking for a set of custom seats to match the radical styling , check out AMT's '65 Pontiac Grand Prix - It has some optional chrome seat buckets with padded inserts...

That '60 Merc grille might lose some visual weight if you trimmed 1mm off the top and bottom leading edges?

I'm lovin' that center console. As for the dash ideas, I like the floating pods also but have you tried the stock 69 ford galaxie, or the custom 69 riviera? Both dash kits are from the amt versions of these kits.

I'm jealous of both the ease at which you seem to be putting this together and the contents of your parts boxes.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Good work, keep it up.
