Awesome to finally see a Mopar custom again! Whether you choose to chop it or not, here's a tip: The JoHan DeSoto windows are infamous for their horrible fit, but the windows from JoHan's '62 Chrysler 300 (either original or Modelhaus replacements) will drop right in. Yep, ill fitting and thick as hell.

P.S., I talked to Don Holthaus a couple of days ago then ordered his vacformed windows (and other stuff of course). No guarantees of a better fit but more forgiving due to the thinner plastic. That plus the fact that I can make my own vent window "glass", giving me just a little more tweaking room for fitting in the windshield. We'll see! Gary

Gary, that thing is just perfect. Love the grille and those wheels give it such class. Very cool. What did you use for the grille mesh?

Guys, the grille mesh is Model Car Garage diamond pattern. Thanks for asking! Gary

Looks beautiful! The Caddy caps are a great choice. Might be worth thinking about losing those round front bumper guards to give it the full Chrysler treatment up front...

Awesome work on the front!!!
Have you thought about adding "drawer pulls" to the grille? (e.g. Scale Equipment steel rivets)

John, after a lot of consideration, I removed those whatevers off of the front bumper yesterday. We have like minds! (Though I've been told many times that there's nothing in my brain but air.) Chris, NO WAY!!! Gary

This one is one my favorites out of your stable; and I've had the photos saved for years now! I can't wait to see you finish it; and keep picturing it in Tamiya's TS-15? Mica Blue........which is like an ultramarine blue color.....not a light blue or a dark blue...just right! I suppose that is partly due to the body being molded in blue here! LOL! Any idea what wheels you are going to use? I see it with wire wheels to bring the class level up a notch!

Gorgeous work. The front end is real pretty (you gonna keep the dagmars?) and the extended fins are super cool. Just a thought: 1962 Imperial tail lights, maybe? Loving this.
