Chris, you must have realized that in 1:1, the cut off louvers at the top would look like a comb, and the short rear louvers wouldn't have any metal to hold them together. As you've got such a beautiful "A" Coupe going, it was a certainty that you'd be able to correct this issue. Man I love this model! Gary

Gary--if it was 1:1, it would have to have a perimeter band welded in to reinforce the ends of the louvers so they wouldn't be hanging loose...but yeah, it would still look comb-like. I've kept the top louvers; they're just really, really short now. Still looks better than having blank spots IMHO.

Thanks all! Here's what's going on with the hood. Not shown in this image are the "rivets" I stamped using the end of a hypodermic needle. Unfortunately the stamping caused the thin plastic to bow slightly, but it'll be clamped in place when it's time to glue, so no problem.
