Looks like a great start Ron! This reminds me that I've got a similar started kit, slighty sectioned. Regarding the roofs, I'd opt for the hardtop!

Looks very good! I'd go with the hardtop as well, but that carson top doesn't look bad either. I bet whichever way you decide to go, it will look excellent...Even if I'm not a fan of fender skirts on any car.

The carson top doesn't flow with the custom work like the hardtop does. So I guess I go with the hardtop too.

I too agree on the hardtop, but that brings up another issue, at least to my eyes.
With that chopped hardtop, the body really screams out to be sectioned, as the top chop makes the mid section of the body look much too thick & bulky, at least to me. It still looks good, but the Carson top suits the thickness of the body better.

Hi Ron,
I like the hartop to and in fact I have a resin one I'm planing on using on a '50 Ford too. What are you planning to do for the rear glass? It's a pretty 'tuff shape to come up with. Nice work so far on yours.

Agreed on the glass difficulty. I've got one O' those resin tops too, and am stalled out. I've been thinking of trying the glass from the 49 coupe... and I just love the flares on the front fenders, Ron!
