What an awesome idea - love it! I really like that combination of the blue flame with the white body - looks hot!

Well, uh, maybe not this time. Thanks for providing the inspiration for this project at the beginning, though. I'm thinking of making up a driver's name like Al Cohol, or something, that goes with mrmetallic's "Bottom's Up" car name. Although, maybe I could revise your suggestions to Harry Buttz... Hmmm, my head hurts!

I rearranged the driver's body by shortening his arms and legs then changing their angles to the torso. My original seat was the wrong shape so I replaced it with one of Ed's Drag City Casting seats reworked from the original SWC gasser. Out back is a faux pickup box for the not-to-be-modeled fuel tank, battery and hydraulic controls. The top cover uses the stock '34 truck's hood sides for louvers.

Charley; i just had another idea. pull the bed forward to the correct position cut the bottom of the bed, so it will fit over and hide the frame; i think that if this were done, it would look as if the bed is contoured to the cab,and show more of the engine then put a set of zoomies on it, and point them toward the slicks, to look like they're blowing the smoke off of the slicks.

I didn't really like the unbalanced look of the bed in yesterday's post but I figured that it might not be so bad if it was painted the same color as the frame to minimize it. I like your idea a lot! Here's a Photoshop image of the bed in place along with some plain images in case anybody wants to mess around with making their own. I didn't include header images but they would look really good as you described. Thanks!
Everybody, feel free to give your opinions. This was supposed to just be a quickie one-week build but the design problems are challenging so I keep dragging it out and modifying it.
