brand of tire doesn't matter to me, but the sidewall height does. yours looks fine....they had black walls in the old days. Yeah, but it may look like radials, but they are belted... Of course I know blackwalls are OK... But does the car fit in here?

But does the car fit in here? well there isn't much done to it, but it's not much different than some of the other stockers with lowered stance and kustom wheels that have been posted here. the only difference is blackwalls vs. whitewalls. I see nothing wrong.

I was going to ask about these wheels, but looking at a recent post I guess the type of tires are under the gun also. Revell Goodguys 32 roadster big 'n littles.

Like I said, it's just my opinion...they are not blacklisted...they are a kit part, if you can't replace them....they are acceptable. This would not be the case for some tires and wheels though.

I really wish that Revell would offer different wheel backs to go with those mags, and that they would offer different tires to go along with the kit (both the wide-oval type PolyGlas GT and a Coker or Firestone type 6.00 x 15 or 6.50 x 16 set). We NEED these kinds of tires to do the trad builds, but at the same time, that might run some of the cottage industries outta biz....

I found this tire that fits the front Halibrand style wheel in the Revell '32 roadster: Hosted on FotkiIt's from American Satco, I'm not sure what size it is or what they call it, but it says 'Bridgestone Potenza' on it. It's still a low profile radial but it's not as dorky :oas the kit tire...sorry for the lousy pic quality.

I agree, but I don't know if anyone could run Modelhaus out...the tires would have to be hella nice for me to spend $22 on a revell kit to get tires. I would love to see some scale Cokers though!

Thanks. I was just asking. I had no intention of replacing them with aftermarket tires. Or wheels for that matter. I'm dam lucky to have that kit! The way I model. I go for how the model looks, i don't give a rats butt if a tire is a Goodyear, Firestone or Pirelli. I like aftermarket stuff. but unless it's something special I'm building, I won't go there. I'm not about to buy stuff just to make a model TRaKable, or to keep the resin guys in business. Sorry.
This model was'nt TRaKable anyway.

Clay, I am the same way. I don't even care if it says a brand on the tire, just as long as it's what I need.

Here's my latest WIP. Just a krazy idea I had and wanted to try. Is it TRaK-able?

I like that! A great improvement over the goofy original! Great idea.

Ron, it's a shrug of the shoulders for me.....not any wilder than the Car Craft Dream Rod and it's TRaKable.

Bridgestone Potenza's are a performance tire that did not come out until 2000.
