Ok another one from me .... bet ya'll get tired of my questions lol. This pertains to my 32 Ford Roadster I posted a few days back. So far I've updated the engine a bit using stock 56 Chevy parts no issue there I assume my question is these pipes. I was digging just to see what I had hiding in the boxes and found these in the AMT 55 Chevy Post sedan. Obviously they won't fit its stovebolt so they were fair game. If I use them I'll shorten them to fit my taste. Did I wreck out by finding these ?? I'm sure the 4 tubes are good but is the square dump a no no ??

Rick, they were around back in the day like that. You would only see them on early super stockers or early nascar and maybe even on a bonneville? They are TRaKable pipes, but if I am your friend I would say to get rid of them. They are nasty looking on a hot rod.

Long haired interiors were certainly around in the early sixties so that's not a problem. I have no idea whatsoever about when flamethrowers became popular acessories, so someone else has to take that one, though I can't imagine it'll be a no-no...

All I can offer on the flame throwers is......didn't the badass in Grease have them?

Well, it wasn't really angel hair interiors, but there were long and fuzzy interiors, such as in one version of the X-Sonic and the Busonic. Also Budd 'The Kat' Anderson's Hairy Canary T-Bird. That's why it was 'hairy', lol. As far as flamethrower exhaust, a friend of mine had them on his 56 Ford back in 1966. While they look kool, they're dangerous!

I really can't say. The rake and tires looks untraditional to me. The pipes is nothing new, they used to run them through rockers, quarter panels, tail lights and bumpers.

Okay, the newest vehicles or parts allowed are '69, what about the oldest? Are pre-war "Gow Jobs" welcome on this forum? I'm not talking Model T speedsters, I figured that would be pushing it, but what about the pre-war lakes style cars? I've started a couple Model A based projects of the pre-war lakes style variety but they are more of a stripped down street style, you know, hot rod before the term was invented. Older than "Ol' Skool"?
