Well, I guess the full moon brings out the chopping? Actually, mine has been planned for a while (digitally), but I finally got around to hacking plastic this past week. Before this, I had been modifying the incorrect windshield opening, side window openings, & A pillars to look more like the real deal. Once that was done, I could move onto the chopping. I scored 3 lines across the top, sectioned the roof above the rear side windows, then spread the roof from front to back, cutting the scored lines on the outer edges. The trunk section was pie sectioned like Zed's & that 1:1 '49 on the HAMB. Before sanding. After a little sanding. Still, quite a bit of work to do, but it's getting there. Steve

Nice proportions, Steve... keep it up. While yer correcting things, don't forget to extend the rear corners of the hood.

Yep, one of the most glaring errors. I may correct it to factory specs., or depending on which grille I use, go the rounded corners route like Jimmy Vaughan's & others.

Beautiful job! The proportions are spot on. I dont know what you did to correct the front window opening but whatever you did it looks fantastic. Your work is truly inspirational. Thank you for showing the bare plastic pictures as well to give hacks like me insite into how it was cut.

WOW! You make it look so easy, Steve. The whole thing has a really nice, organic flow to it. Nice job correcting that goofy AMT windshield area too. Killer work, as always. ;D

Yep, one of the most glaring errors. I may correct it to factory specs., or depending on which grille I use, go the rounded corners route like Jimmy Vaughan's & others. Steve Can't argue with that logic, either, Steve. I know RandFink corrected one and it wuz alot of work. If yer goin' that custom route and "welding" the fenders ta the body, ya gotta round 'em. I'm REALLY lookin' forward ta seein' this one finished.

Nice looking Fleetline there Steve Looks like i started something, loloh well but really i dont see much of a difference between yours and mine except yours has a lil more chop.... but it looks good and thats all that matters Our overall top profiles are very similar. But, look at the windshield opening & the thin A pillars on the 1:1 Photo from Rik Hoving's site. Photo from Rik Hoving's site. Steve

You did it like me ?...oh Steve, you did it one thousand time better than me ! Another one i can't wait to see finished ! Do you have some plan for another grille and bumpers and things like that, or will you keep the stock bright work like on ya mock'up ?
