I'll be honest with you, when I first read your initial post, I was thinking the Caddy taillights might not work too, but didn't post it cause I thought... " Gary's a good builder, he might make it work!" I'll 2nd that. Gary, you are one heck of a builder and the Caddy tail lights look f-bombin' sweet. Definitly not what I pictured in my head. I guess I will shut the hell up now...alright, back to work ;D

Man, this is lookin really kick ass.... I tend to shy away from using squatron putty and started using CA and kicker for body filler, but Im thinking I am gonna start using the old styrene filler method.... You're doing great work on this...

I just took a couple more progress pictures. I've started the new windshield frame, and just need another coat of primer to see if it will be ready for color soon. I also added triple carbs to the engine. I used the manifold and carbs from the AMT 58 Chevy kit. I removed the runner tubes from the manifold then sanded the remainder down to about .075 thick. I removed the carb(?) from the chrome manifold, sanded the area flush, and glued the triple adapter to the manifold. Later, I foiled any areas where bare plastic was showing. Since I ground the underside of the scoop to open it, I have the room for the carbs, and you can see the chrome breather caps through the scoop opening. Those 59 Lancer caps and whitewalls are what I'll be using on this bird. Gary

It sits real nice on those Lancers. Are you going with those wide whites? They look good on it, especially with the un-skirted rear wheel openings. The molding work on the nose and tail pieces is starting to come together too. I'm looking forward to seeing the windshield frame. Build on! ;D

I really like the front end treatment you went with- kind of makes me rekindle my idea of building a model of the Moon Rocket!

I love this car and I don't like T-Birds! You are doing an increadible job on this car. The 3-carb conversion looks great and it's really nice to see one of these cars without rear skirts. I also like the wheel covers, I don't think I've ever seen that version of Lancer's before. Can't wait to see this in paint!
