Finally got back to working on this thing. Trying to figure out which carb I should use. According to the book, the car came factory stock with a Holley 3910 carb but Grumpy got tired of adjusting the vacuum advance and disconnected it and made it manual. Here is a pic of an available Holley carb which I think is too big and most likely more of an 850 Holley and then a pic of the same carb that I modified to make it look more like a 3910 without the vacuum advance stuff on it. Which do you think I should use? I'm thinking the second one. Original Modified Hopefully I can move ahead now and get off this carb thing, I want to get this thing done!

I agree, the second one looks more in-scale.

Wow, 11 days since my last update. I need to work faster Back to work on the WIP now. I finally got the carb to where I wanted it and added those tubes to the top whatever they're called. Right now they're just sitting in there but you get the idea. I found some K&S 1/32" brass tubing to do this and some other work on the carb.

Tim your work is so unbelievable you are so detailed to the smallest nut . you need to do some how to videos for all us amateurs that can only dream of the work you do.

Thanks twisted for those kind words. Probably the best tutorial is to watch my WIP because I tend to show and explain any detail work that I do as I go. If there's a question, then just ask. I can say though that a microscope comes in real handy when working with small details, at least it does with my eyesight.

This is the color I'm going with. It's the Model Master Burnt Metal over a light gray primer. It's about as close as I can get to the carb color. Now that I can handle it, I'll start putting on all the nuts & bolts, linkages and fuel line.

Moving on to something different now, it's time to make some modifications to the interior tub. Since I had to trim the body at the bottom of the side windows because they were not right, the interior tub is now too high so out comes the dremel tool again.
