I was hoping to get a coat of clear on by now and start applying the decals but I seen something that didn't look right, I forgot to paint the rear black as in the 1:1. After painting it I also noticed a crack in the white paint. Cracked paint.

OK, on with the build.... I did as best I could without re-spraying the white and it came out really good. You can still see some roughness when taking a macro close-up but with the naked eye you can't see it at all.

I guess I'm glad I put on 3 heavy wet coats or it might have been worse.

Thanks RodBurNeR & Duane, it's much appreciated.
I hope to maybe get to the decals sometime this week but the family is coming up to visit us from California this weekend until Tuesday so I won't be able to get anything done during those 4 days.

Need some tips here guys. I'm getting ready to apply the decals and was looking at the front stripe that wraps around the fenders. Any tips or suggestions on the best way to get this thing on with the least amount of trouble? I know that I'll be using micro-sol to make it easier to move around but from past experience it's not really that easy to do on bigger/longer decals(can't keep the whole thing wet while trying to move it.)

I use MS also with mine. The main thing is to put it on the body where the decal will go and as you know once it's dried down to a spot...it wants to stick real good. I know some guys use a "tiny" bit of dish soap in their water which is supposed to help them slide better. I would do the same as you are going to do, so I can't really think of what else to add.

Well I totally screwed that decal up. Got it to go in place after a few minutes but the micro-sol and me rubbing on the decal to move it wore off some of the black. I'll just paint the friggin thing on!

Finally was able to get back to building or in this case putting some decals on. I got the left side finished all except for where the PE badges go. I need to put them on so I can line up the decals that go under them and I don't want to put the PE parts on now because they tend to fall off with too much handling. BTW, does anyone here have problems with their camera taking close-up shots and the image is sort of fish-eyed or doesn't show things straight? Looking at this picture it looks like some of the decals are not straight but they are.
