After I clear the body, I need to go back and paint the colors on the badges and flags. Only reason is because I use enamel paint to to the painting and the clear is lacquer and you know what happens if you put lacquer over enamel.  |

Thanks Duane, Got the body shot with clear and it came out pretty good but I think I could have thinned it out a bit more. Anyway, here's the body with clear and then I painted the PE parts which still need a little touch up but I need for the paint to dry first.   Right side Flags & SS painted  Left side |

Test fitting for the last time after paint and thought this shot looked pretty good. Don't laugh too much, it's my first scratch built driver I pieced together and tried to make it look like Da Grump.  |

After posting a pic of Da Grump in the car I realized I never posted the interior pics. It's not fancy since most of his cars if not all were the cheap stripped down cars. I still need to put a tach on the dash but the one I had is too big and hits the windshield so I'll look for a smaller one.   |

While buffing out the clear I noticed that some of the decals looked like they had wrinkles and sure enough, under the microscope there they were. I did not see any before I applied the clear so I'm thinking the clear lacquer might have done it. I never had this problem before but I have an idea what happened. I use the micro-set to apply the decals and then after that, I use the micro-sol to make sure they were down solid. This time I didn't use the micro-sol because the decals looked great. Anyway, I'll make sure not to do that again. Here's the worst one of them all.  BTW, thanks for the good words Duane. |

Finally got the most intimidating part of building done, the dreaded BMF! Still need to do the door handles but I'll leave that for last thing I do as to not mess it up assembling everything else.   |
